1 Peter 1:13-21

This morning we are celebrating our Church anniversary. It is hard to believe that we have been around for eight full years. The time has flown by.

In our text today we will be back in 1 Peter. Peter will be sharing with us the "what now" to our life as Christians. Now that we have come to faith, what are we supposed to be doing with our lives?

We are not supposed to just live like we did before we were Christians, because we are now new creations in Christ. Instead we are to roll up our sleeves and get in the fight.

Peter will tell us that we need to prepare our minds for action. We are to forsake the old ways of sin and selfishness in which we once lived. We are to be obedient to His will because our salvation came at a great price. We were ransomed with a purpose, To serve the Lord in all things that we do in our daily walk.

********Fellowship Meal********

After the service we will have a fellowship meal together. Please use this time to get to know your brothers and sisters in the church. 

The church will provide the chicken, and we are asking that the congregation bring a side or desert, or both to share with the rest of the congregation.
