1 Peter 1:22-2:3

Sep 22, 2024    David Clark

This morning we will be heading back into the Book of 1 Peter. We will be finishing off the 1st chapter and dipping our toes in Chapter 2.

Peter will be focusing on a subject that Jesus spent a lot of time talking about, and demonstrating through His ministry. It is a subject that is elusive to many, but is the calling card of Christians wherever we go. It is a subject that has many obstacles, many of which we create ourselves.

Peter will be focusing on the subject of "love". Love is a beautiful thing when received, accepted, demonstrated, and reciprocated. It is also a very difficult thing to do when we have envy, anger, jealousy, bitterness and deception in our hearts.

Dwight L. Moody said, "You can be a good doctor without loving your patients, you can be a great lawyer without loving your clients, but you cannot be a good Christian without love."

As Christians, our selfless love for one another demonstrates our love and obedience to the Lord.
