How it all started...
Pastor David was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He spent 8 years in the United States Army; and is currently serving in the United States Air Force Reserves as a Chaplain. David had previously served as a youth minister and a senior minister prior to starting CCG.
A seed was planted to start CCG when David began listening to the Christian Satellite Network and fell in love with the simplicity of verse by verse teaching by Calvary Chapel Pastors. After three years of ignoring the call to start CCG, David finally took the leap of faith that would eventually become CCG.

An Unexpected Blessing
Calvary Chapel Goochland (CCG) had been holding services in various facilities in Goochland until May of 2019. When COVID-19 hit, we were without a place to meet and held outdoor services in the parking lot of the YMCA .
Everything changed in May of 2019 when CCG received a call from a local church that was closing there doors. One of the trustees, o f the church that was closing, called and asked if CCG would be interested in taking over the church building. The rest, as they say, is history.
We are so blessed to have a beautiful building to meet together and are anxiously waiting for what the Lord is going to do next.

We are excited about what the Lord is doing, and will do at CCG.
