1 Timothy 5:1-16
I am back after my two weeks of annual training with the military, and I can not tell you how good it feels to be back.
This morning we are heading into the 5th chapter in the Book of 1 Timothy.
Throughout this letter, Paul has been addressing many of the issues going on in the church in Ephesus and has been encouraging and commanding Timothy to get the church back on track.
Tomorrow morning, we are going to see Paul addressing the interpersonal relationships that people have in the church. Specifically he will be speaking about how we are to provide corrections to those of different ages. He will also spend a good amount of text speaking about how to treat widows.
The overarching theme in our text is that we as a church are family. As a family, our interactions with one another should be seasoned with love and respect. This has been part of my foot stomps in the church since we began CCG. Our desire should be that part of our DNA, as a church, is the realization, and application of the fact that we are a family and that love is at the center of our interactions with one another.
I hope to see everyone tomorrow morning at 10AM.
