1 Timothy 6:1-10

Aug 11, 2024    David Clark

This morning we are starting the 6th Chapter in the Book of 1st Timothy. This is the last chapter in the Book of 1st Timothy, so we are almost finished with this letter.

Paul is going to be looking at our today's equivalent of employee-employer relationships, false teachers, contentment, and the love of money. In the past we have addressed the issue of contentment, especially in Philippians 4, but contentment is one of those things that can be easily shaken depending on our current life situation and circumstances we are facing. Contentment is an issue that is definitely worth addressing over and over again as a reinforcement and reminder of how blessed each one of us is, no matter what situation or circumstances we face.

In our text, this morning, we will also be addressing a very misquoted text, and you will know it when you see it.
