Tonight, we are headed back into the Book of 1 Chronicles. We are continuing to look at the life of King David.

We are going to see David fighting with the Philistines. We are going to see two separate battles, and two different ways the Lord would bring victory to the Israelites. Before both battles David sought the Lord for guidance, and he gave David different instructions each time. This is a good reminder for us that even though we may face the same enemy, and even in similar circumstances, we still need to seek the Lord for guidance as He may have differing guidance in each battle.

We will then look at David bringing back the Ark into Jerusalem. The last time David tried this people ended up dying. This time, however, David seeks the Lord's guidance and brings in the Ark the proper way, as instructed by the Lord.

In bringing in the Ark we are going to see how David involved all of Israel. It was going to be a massive celebration with music, dancing, and fellowship. However, when David returns his wife Michal will call him out for not acting very "kingly".

We will finish up the study by looking at David's Song of Thanksgiving.
