1 Peter 3:1-6

This morning we are going to be starting the 3rd Chapter in the Book of 1 Peter.

Paul has walked us through how as Christians we are to submit to authority to maintain order, to demonstrate a good witness, and because it is God's will. The caveat, however, is that the authority we are submitting to does not ask or try to force us to do something that is outside of the will of God.

This morning Paul will be addressing a woman's role in marriage. How her submission to her husband is a God ordained submission. This submission is not a demeaning submission and it is not a statement about the wife's value or importance. It is simply a submission based on the created order and love.

Paul will also address the imperishable beauty of a Godly woman and how her external adornment is not of much value compared to her internal adornment.
