Hebrews 12:1-6

This morning we are taking another week's break from 1 Peter and instead we will be looking at some text from the Book of Hebrews.

Since we are on the cusp of a new year, I thought it would be good for us to look at some text that encourages and reminds us that this year can be an amazing year of faith building opportunities.

Hopefully, every one of us wants to do great things for the Lord. We want to stretch our faith, and see how the Lord will miraculously use our faith to accomplish His will. 

However, to activate our faith we have to be intentional in our Christian walk, and truly seek opportunities to demonstrate our faith. We can not let the shiny things of this world distract us, and we need to stay committed and endure the difficulties of this life to experience the Lord's will through the power of our faith. 

The power we have in us, through our faith, can accomplish much for the Lord this year. I am excited about what the Lord has for us as a church this year. I pray that we are all excited and ready to step out in faith and see how the Lord will use our faith to accomplish big things for His Kingdom.
