Titus 1:11-15
This morning we are going to be finishing off the 2nd chapter in the Book of Titus.
Paul has been sharing with Titus how to build a healthy church. He started with sound doctrine, and then moved to the qualifications for elders. The elders were required to meet some pretty stringent qualifications which included being sound in doctrine.
Then Paul wrote about some obstacles the elders were going to face, which included false teachings, especially from the circumcision party-the legalist.
This morning Paul is going to move on to writing about the importance of healthy behaviors and characteristics of healthy congregation members. He will be addressing older men, younger men, older women, younger women, and bond servants.
Through our text we will see the importance of training the next generation in sound doctrine and laying expectations for healthy behaviors and characteristics of all congregation members.
