1 Peter 2:4-10

This morning we will be back in the Book of 1 Peter, Chapter 2.

We will be entering into a construction zone, as Peter reminds us that we are living stones that are being built up as a spiritual house. The Chief Cornerstone of this spiritual house is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Peter will also tell us that we are a chosen, holy, and royal priesthood that is to offer spiritual sacrifices. We are to proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called us out of darkness and into the marvelous light.

Our role as Christians is not just being joyous about our salvation. We are also called to do something with our new living hope. We are called to live a life of obedience, make spiritual sacrifices and to share the good news with those still in darkness.
