Matthew 1

I am back from my annual training with the Air Force and I have missed yall.

Last time we were together, we finished off the Book of 2nd Timothy. So we are heading into a new Book--The Gospel of Matthew.

We will be having Christmas in July, as we unpack the circumstances surrounding the birth of our Savior. However, we will start with Christ's lineage. Each of the four Gospels have a different perspective and focus on the life of Christ. Matthew will be demonstrating through the lineage of Christ his legal claim to the throne; and how Jesus is the Messiah and fulfilled prophecy as demonstrated through His birth, life, crucifixion and resurrection. We will also see the mercy of our Lord demonstrated through the lives that He has chosen to use to bring us to Jesus Christ.

So crank up the Christmas songs today, as we all get to experience Christmas in July this Sunday.
