Matthew 7:15-29

Oct 12, 2025    David Clark

This morning we will be finishing off the 7th Chapter in the Gospel of Matthew, as well as the Sermon on the Mount.

One of the passages we will cover tomorrow morning can often brings much uneasiness and concern:

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

-Is Jesus saying that even if I am a believer that I may be surprised at my final destination on the Day of Judgment?

-Does this passage mean that I can never be assured of my salvation?

We will cover those questions and more. So make sure you listen this morning to gain more clarity about these passages.
