Matthew 4:12-5:12

Aug 24, 2025    David Clark

This morning we will be finishing off the 4th Chapter in the Gospel of Matthew and starting the 5th Chapter.

We will be looking at Jesus calling the first disciples to be "Fishers of men". It is amazing to see these men of faith leave everything to come and follow the Lord. It is a reminder to all of us, as Christians, that the Lord is our priority and how we should be willing to respond to the promptings of the Spirit to be obedient to the Lord's calling upon our lives.

We will then read how the Lord went throughout Galilee, healing all sicknesses and diseases. I can not even begin to imagine the crowds, their excitement, their adoration and their experience as the Lord healed leprosy, blindness, demon possession, paralysis and all other infirmities.

We will close out our study by reading the Beatitudes, and how our Kingdom is not of this world. How our attitudes and priorities are different from the secular world.
