Matthew 6:1-18

This morning, we will be back in the Gospel of Matthew, in the 6th chapter. In this chapter Jesus is going to address some spiritual disciplines such as: giving, praying, and fasting.

Have you ever wondered what motivates you to do what you do? I think most folks never really think about the real reason behind their actions. 

Jesus is going to address what our motivation should be behind all of these spiritual disciplines. Unfortunately, there are many folks that do things for the wrong reasons. They either don't really think about why they are doing what they are doing or have ulterior motives to their actions.

This we are going to see that the pure motivation of our actions, for those that belong to the Kingdom of God, is to bring glory to God and not for the applause of men.
