1st Tim 3: 1-7

Have you ever heard someone tell you "Don't ask how the sausage is made".

The idea behind this is that you really don't want to know how they do it, just enjoy the finished product.

Tomorrow morning we are going to see how the sausage is made. Paul is going to continue to unpack how the church is supposed to operate. We are going to be looking at elders and how we as church leadership should be selecting elders.

Why is this important? Because we want to make sure that we are a church that is operating with biblically based doctrine. We also want to make sure that we are transparent to anyone that may ask: "How did that elder get selected"?

This is all relevant and perfectly timed as we will be announcing our next elder tomorrow morning at the close of the service. Not to mention we will be having some special music planned for tomorrow.
