Matthew 13:1-30

Feb 8, 2026    David Clark

I want to preface the email by writing that we have been trying to get the church parking lot cleaned up. At first we were told that because we have a gravel driveway no one could plow it until the ice melted. Then we actually found someone that did in fact plow the driveway. However, $600 dollars later, and not long after they left, it started to snow again and so it created more of a mess.

All of this to say that the parking lot is still a challenge. This morning, the church will be open and I will be at the church live-streaming. If someone is getting cabin fever and wants to come up to the church, the doors will be open. We will not have children's church or nursery, and I will only be preaching the sermon-no music. We will also push back Communion until next week.

Again, the parking lot and sidewalks are messy and slippery, so if you don't have a vehicle that drives well in the snow I would recommend staying at home and watching the livestream.

If you are die hard and miss church so much you just have to come, please exercise caution navigating the church parking lot, and walking into the church.

This morning at 10:00 AM, we will begin Chapter 13 of the Gospel of Matthew. We will examine the Parable of the Sower and the Parable of the Weeds—lessons Jesus used to teach those willing to listen with spiritual ears.
