1 Peter 3:18-22 111724
This morning, we are finishing off 1 Peter 3.
Peter is going to be answering one of the questions many theologians ask about the time between Christ's death and His resurrection.
What did Christ do from the time He was buried until the time of the resurrection?
We already know that he went to paradise, as He told the one thief on the cross:
And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise.”(Luke 23:43)
This morning we are going to get a little glimpse of where else He went during that time.
Some of our text tomorrow morning is generally held to be some of the toughest text to exegete and understand in the bible. However, we are going verse by verse, so if it is in there, we are going to study it, regardless of its difficulty.
We just have to remember going into the text, that even if you have a different view of what the text is saying, the text does not change the way to salvation. It does not create a new essential doctrine.
