2 Peter 2:12-17

This morning we are headed back into the 2nd chapter in the Book of 2 Peter. We will also stop a little early tomorrow morning so that we can partake of Communion together as a family.

We will see Peter describing the false teachers and heretics. He likens them to irrational animals that are driven by their basic instincts. He calls them blasphemes and insatiable blots, blemishes who have eyes full of adultery.

I think it is pretty clear that there is no love lost between Peter and these false teachers. These false teachers were leading people astray, having hearts filled with impure motives and greed.

Peter will point out that these false teachers and heretics will not get away with their wicked ways. They may appear to be getting away with their sin, but The Lord is not fooled. These wicked folks have a place of destruction that awaits them.
