Deuteronomy 20-22 030823

Today we will be looking at the 20th, 21st, and 22nd Chapters of the Book of Deuteronomy. 

We will be looking at a lot of different topics; from shaving your female fiance's head, to how to handle failure to launch young adults, to cross dressing.

In our text tonight we will see the preparations for battle becoming more focused. 

The Israelites were just about ready to enter into the promised land and there would be battles to come. The Israelites needed to prepare for the battle and have faith that the Lord will fight their battles.

We will also see some instructions about how to conduct themselves not only in the battle, but also once they entered into the promised land.

Today we will be seeing Moses addressing lots of issues including:

-The order of battle preparation.

-A pass for those that were afraid to go into battle.

-How to handle neighboring nations.

-Conservation of natural resources

-How to deal with unsolved murders.

-Procedures for marrying a captive woman

-Not playing favorites with your sons.

-How to deal with a rebellious child.

-The importance of not letting a hanging body stay that way overnight.

-Being a good neighbor.

-Cross dressing

-Finding bird's nests

There is a lot to cover but it should make for a very interesting study.
