Deuteronomy 22-24 032923

Mar 29, 2023    David Clark

Today we are going to be heading back into the Book of Deuteronomy. We will be looking at the 22nd-through the beginning of the 24th chapter.

What we are going to see in our chapters is a continuation of how the Israelites are to be separate and distinct from the other nations.

We are going to be looking at some very personal and adult themed laws and concepts.

From adultery, rape, prostitution, divorce, and incest to the proper way to utilize the restroom. Interesting fact-the U.S. Army also used to have a manual on the proper way to utilize the restroom.

There is a lot of interesting content that we will go over tonight, and it is okay to blush, but we have to remember that the Lord gave the Isralites these laws to maintain good order and discipline, and to ensure that the Israelites were different and separate in all things that they would do.

21 If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin. 22 But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty. 23 Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the Lord your God with your own mouth.
