Joshua 11 13 080923

Today we will be heading back into the Book of Joshua. Last week we finished off Chapter 10, so this week we will be starting with Chapter 11 and going all the way through the beginning of Chapter 13.

Last week, we learned how Joshua effectively conquered the middle and southern portions of the promised lands. This week, we will see a new conglomeration of kings coming together to do battle against the Israelites. These kings are going to be coming from up north.

Then we will read a summary of the kingdoms conquered by Moses and by Joshua. Joshua will have defeated 31 kings, at the time of the summary. He was definitely a battle tested warrior.

We will close out by reading how the Lord tells Joshua his time is coming close, so he needed to start apportioning the promised lands to the various tribes before his death.
