Today we will be starting the 12th Chapter in the Gospel of Mark.

We are going to see Jesus continuing His dialogue with the religious leaders that questioned by what authority Jesus was doing the things He was doing. This time, however, Jesus would be using a parable to condemn Israel and the religious leaders for the rejection of the Messiah and the Lord's prophets. Jesus will be reminding the religious leaders that questioned HIs authority that they themselves have refused to submit to the Lord.

We will then move to a hot topic for the Israelites that is still a hot topic for us today--taxes.

The Pharisees and Herodians, two groups that hated each other, will combine forces to try and trap Jesus by asking Him if they should pay taxes or not. Jesus will of course not fall for their trap but instead leave them speechless at His reply.

****Spoiler Alert**** Yes, we do have to pay taxes.
